Jim Reich, a native of Manitoba, is a graduate of Charleswood Collegiate in Winnipeg. Following his move to Calgary in 1977, he attended the University of Calgary where he earned a Bachelor of Physical Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. It was from the University of Calgary that he received his Bachelor of Laws Degree in 1987.
Following his admission to the Alberta Bar, Jim gained experience in numerous areas of law, including all aspects of real estate (conveyancing, mortgages, development and foreclosures).
In 1990, in establishing Reich Law Office he resolved to season his knowledge and experience in law, with sound business principles and a focus on personalized client service.
An active member in the Canadian Bar
Association ("C.B.A"), Jim has served
on the executive of both the

Foreclosure Subsection and the Real Property Subsection. Over the years he has chaired the Foreclosure subsection for six years.
Jim has been a guest speaker to the Foreclosure, Real Property and the Young Lawyers Subsections of the C.B.A. He has presented a paper on foreclosures to a joint seminar of the Legal Education Society of Alberta and the Alberta Trial Lawyers Association. Jim has participated on a number of occasions as a panel member for the Legal Education Society of Alberta for presentations to lawyers and legal support staff on foreclosure issues.
Most recently, Jim co-taught an introduction to foreclosures on a number of occasions at the Calgary Real Estate Board.
Jim regularly gives presentations to members of the real estate and banking industry and the community in general. He is an instructor for Chinook Learning Services, a not for profit institution for legal education.
Jim Reich is a family man, who with his wife, Lorrie, and their two children, Lauren and Taylor, are active in their community and local church.
